Are you looking for ways to increase your child's awareness of the natural world? Join us as we begin a new Story Time called A Chest Full of Stories with Miss Karen at Tyler! Exposing children to the wonders of nature has been shown to spark creativity and imagination, so we’d love to help families encourage a lifetime of learning about the world in which we live.
This week Miss Karen will be reading Give Bees a Chance by Bethany Barton, followed by a craft. Join us to learn about different types of bees and how many flowers it take to make one pound of Honey. We will also learn how to make bees scatter and make a bee to take home. Then we will take a short walk to Tyler’s Pollinator Preserve to see what we can find!
This program is for children ages 3-6 with one supervising adult. Check-in at the Visitor Center where Miss Karen will join you for a short walk to an area that sparks our imaginations. This is an outdoor activity, so please dress accordingly. In case of rain the event will take place in a protected area.
MEMBERS: $5 per child with one free supervising adult (sign in first for your member discount!)
NON-MEMBERS: $12 per child with one free supervising adult (fee includes admission for the day, so feel free to stay as long as you'd like!) Additional accompanying non-member adults and non-participating children must pay admission.
GUEST PASS HOLDERS: $5 per child with one free supervising adult (For non-member use only; please give your guest pass to the Visitor Center Associate when checking in for this program. The guest pass covers admission only; there is still an additional fee of $5 per child for this program). Additional accompanying non-member adults and non-participating children must pay admission.
Registration is for child only. No drop-offs; children must be accompanied by an adult (max two children per adult, please).
