A Walk with the Director Of Horticulture: Spotted Lanternfly

This event is no longer on sale.

Saturday April 24

1:30 PM  –  2:30 PM

FOR ADULTS AND YOUTH AGES 14-17 (FREE for everyone!)

First discovered in PA in Berks County in 2014, the invasive spotted lanternfly has wreaked havoc on many tree species. At Tyler, we have implemented several programs to help track and slow down their progress. Join Director of Horticulture, Mike Karkowski, on this free one-hour-long walk as he discusses why we need to care about this invasive pest, what Tyler has done, what Tyler is planning to do this year, and what homeowners can do. We will be outdoors. Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear.

Although this is a free program, pre-registration is required. Please check-in at the Visitor's Center patio window and then park in the overflow parking lot where you'll meet the group at the Cherry Collection.

Members: FREE; Non-members: FREE

Face masks are required on-site AT ALL TIMES - whether you are indoors, outdoors, or near anyone who is not part of your household. Please observe all social distancing guidelines.
