FOR ADULTS AND YOUTH AGES 15-17
Skywatchers will be treated to a rare blue supermoon on August 30!
Join guide Dick Cloud on this after-hours hike as we find our way by the light of the full supermoon. Hiking at night is a unique sensory experience. We will use our senses of hearing, smell and touch to navigate the North Woods. We will get a chance to observe the supermoon as we walk through the meadows and more open areas of the Arboretum. Our guide will share points of special interest and seasonal highlights. We hope to see and hear some of the nocturnal wildlife that make a home at the Arboretum!
This moderately-paced hike is for adults and teens comfortable walking 2+ miles on uneven terrain. All youth must be accompanied by an adult. Bring a flashlight and wear sturdy hiking boots.
This program starts after Tyler's closing hours. Gates will open 15 minutes before the program begins and close promptly 10 minutes after the start time, so please be on time. Once you arrive and park, please check in with the staff associate at the Visitor Center Patio, where the group will gather.
