With 30% of our native bees using cavities such as hollow stems for their nests, adding a homemade bee house to your garden provides shelter and nesting areas for our native bees along with increasing the pollination for our gardens. You’ll learn about the life cycle and importance of our native bees, their non-aggressive nature, and receive step-by-step instructions to build your own bee house. Join us for this family activity and take home your own Bee House for your home garden. This is an outdoor activity, so please dress accordingly. Final dimensions: H 11" W 8" D 8". Check in at the Visitor Center and meet us under the tent on the Barn Terrace. This class is suitable for ages 8 through adults. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
