Full Moon Hike

Saturday October 28

7:00 PM  –  9:00 PM

SUITABLE FOR ADULTS AND TEENS AGES 15-17

Experience the magic of Tyler's natural areas at night!

Join guides Dick Cloud and John Bunting as we head into the forest under the full moon's light. Hiking at night is a unique sensory experience. We will use our senses of hearing, smell and touch to navigate the forest. Our guides will share points of special interest and seasonal highlights. In addition, we hope to see and hear some of the nocturnal wildlife that makes a home in Tyler's natural areas!

This moderately-paced hike is for adults and teens comfortable walking 2+ miles on uneven terrain that may include short distances along steep trails. Bring a flashlight or headlamp, and wear suitable shoes for hiking. All teens must be accompanied by an adult.

This program starts after Tyler's closing hours. Gates will open 15 minutes before the program begins and close promptly 10 minutes after the start time, so please be on time. Please park in our overflow lot and check in with the staff associate at the Horticulture Building, where the group will gather.
