For All Ages
Kids are more likely to try new foods when they help prepare them. The Arboretum will serve as both outdoor kitchen and culinary inspiration for our youngest gourmands. Take a walk around the Edible Garden to see where our vegetables come from, and then head inside to prepare delicious dishes made with healthy, natural ingredients. Please inquire when registering if you have allergy concerns. Thematic content and cooking tasks will be best suited for ages 3-6, but all ages are welcome. Bundle $90 members; $120 non-members

June 12 - Cheesy Paninis
Mix up an ooey, gooey cheese spread mixed with spring spinach, artichokes and broccoli to press inside crusty bread. An exciting, just-picked twist on grilled cheese!
June 26 - Summer Veggie Trio
Learn about the versatile and flavorful combination of onions, celery and carrots and turn it into a summer ragout sauce to put over fun bowtie pasta. It’s unmistakably delicious!
July 10 - Put a Pickle on It!
Cucumbers and corn are delicious this time of year. Make a sweet corn relish and quick cucumber pickles to put on juicy, seared turkey burgers.
July 24 - Bell Pepper Boats
Stuff brightly colored bell peppers with harvested vegetables and then roast them in oven. What a colorful garden medley!
August 7 - Fresh & Frozen
Chill out in the heat by mixing sweet watermelon and quenching lime juice to turn into an icy treat. Pick fresh mint from our garden to create a fragrant mint chocolate candy to go with it.
August 21 - Campfire Sausages & Mash
Roast sausages over a campfire to enjoy with delicious mashed cauliflower; a fun, summer twist on British bangers and mash!
