About the presenter:
Special guest Dawn White from the Indian Run Environmental Education Center brings a spectacular range of live animals from their facility based in Glenmoore, PA
Indian Run cares for non-releasable birds of prey, and is also home to snakes, turtles, and a tarantula. Wherever Dawn and her animals go, audiences of all ages get a rare, up-close encounter with wildlife they won't find anywhere else.
Indian Run is led by Dawn White, who has worked as a naturalist and Environmental Educator for 30 years. She graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science in Recreation and Park Management, concentrating in Environmental Interpretation. Her career began at the former Great Valley Nature Center in Devault, PA, where her love of birds of prey and teaching with live animals took root. She went on to design and lead environmental education programs at the Nature Center, Elmwood Park Zoo, and Green Valleys Watershed Association before founding Indian Run to continue that work under her own roof.
