FOR ADULTS (18+) AND YOUTH AGES 15+
On this Audacious Cretaceous Ramble, we will visit our living fossil trees such as Cunninghamia, Ginkgo, and Cryptomeria, along with their contemporaries like Horsetails, Mosses, and Lichens. Perhaps dragonflies will be out and about and, of course, some birding as we view today's dinosaurs. Expect frequent stops as we study these links to the past living on at Tyler.
There's more to discover in Tyler’s 650 acres. Leading tours at Tyler for over 30 years, Dr. Richard Brenner will be starting a new series called ‘Richard’s Rambles.’ Come along on the first and third Thursdays of each month from 10:00 am-noon for a rambling walk through the various eco-communities at Tyler. From seasonal wonders, living fossils, meadows, watery locations, geological treasures, conservation areas, and unexpected wildlife, Richard will expertly guide you to prime areas for an experience you will remember. Expertise from others will often be on hand for a more in-depth exploration. These rambles are for those who have a love for nature, exploring, and learning. While a description of each ramble is posted in advance, we reserve the right to make last-minute changes, including adjustments for weather and trail conditions. Bring your reusable water bottle and dress for the weather, including sturdy shoes.
PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED
Members: FREE; Non-Members: $15 per adult, $9 per youth ages 15-17. Fee includes admission, so feel free to stay the day! All youth must be accompanied by an adult. Fee is for each adult and each youth.
