FOR ADULTS (18+) AND YOUTH AGES 15+
While one highlight of this ramble will be the legendary Indian Rock, we will follow the Rocky Run stream from Gate 1 to where it meets Dismal Run, the cleanest stream in Delaware County. Along the way, we will visit a mill race, local flora and fauna, and memorable trees as we listen to the sounds of water and the forest. While there is a moderate amount of active walking, there will be stops along the way.
There's more to discover in Tyler’s 650 acres. Leading tours at Tyler for over 30 years, Dr. Richard Brenner will be starting a new series called ‘Richard’s Rambles.’ Come along on the first and third Thursdays of each month from 10:00 am-noon for a rambling walk through the various eco-communities at Tyler. From seasonal wonders, living fossils, meadows, watery locations, geological treasures, conservation areas, and unexpected wildlife, Richard will expertly guide you to prime areas for an experience you will remember. Expertise from others will often be on hand for a more in-depth exploration. These rambles are for those who have a love for nature, exploring, and learning. While a description of each ramble is posted in advance, we reserve the right to make last-minute changes, including adjustments for weather and trail conditions. Bring your reusable water bottle and dress for the weather, including sturdy shoes.
PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED
Members: FREE; Non-Members: $15 per adult, $9 per youth ages 15-17. Fee includes admission, so feel free to stay the day! All youth must be accompanied by an adult. Fee is for each adult and each youth.
