Are you looking for ways to increase your child's awareness of the natural world? Then, join us for A Chest Full of Stories with Miss Karen at Tyler! Exposing children to the wonders of nature has been shown to spark creativity and imagination, so we'd love to help families encourage a lifetime of learning about the world in which we live.
Join us for a walk to the Garden Schoolhouse and look for signs of spring popping up around the Arboretum. Will the trees be budding? Will any flowers be blooming? What colors can you find? We will be listening to We are all Connected by Gabi Garcia. We will learn to care for each other and the earth and make an Earth Day craft. We'll also play a game to help us understand how to protect the earth and care for one another!
This program is for children ages 7-10 with one supervising adult. Check-in at the Visitor Center first, and then we will enjoy a short walk to the Garden Schoolhouse. This program will be held indoors. However, we may be outside for part of the program, so please dress accordingly.
Registration is for child only. No drop-offs; children must be accompanied by an adult (limit one adult per two children).
MEMBERS: $5 per child ages 7-10 (sign in for your discount!) with one free supervising adult. Limit one adult per two children.
NON-MEMBERS: $13 per child with one free supervising adult (fee includes admission for the day, so feel free to stay as long as you'd like!) Limit one adult per two children. Additional accompanying non-member adults and non-participating children must pay admission.
GUEST PASS HOLDERS: $5 per child with one free supervising adult (For non-member use only; please give your guest pass to the Visitor Center Associate when checking in for this program. The guest pass covers admission only; there is still an additional fee of $5 per child for this program). Limit one adult per two children. Other accompanying non-member adults and non-participating children must pay admission.
