Sunlight to Moonlight Hike

This event is no longer on sale.

Saturday June 3

7:30 PM  –  9:30 PM

SUITABLE FOR ADULTS AND TEENS AGES 15-17

Experience the magic of Tyler's natural areas as the day transitions to night!

The days are long in June, so we will begin this hike in the daylight and end under the light of the full moon. Hiking at night is a unique sensory experience. We will use our senses of hearing, smell, and touch to navigate the forest. Our guides, Dick Cloud and John Bunting will share points of special interest and seasonal highlights. We hope to see and hear some of the nocturnal wildlife that makes a home in Tyler’s natural areas!

This moderately-paced hike is for adults and teens comfortable walking 3+ miles on uneven terrain that may include short distances along steep trails. All teens must be accompanied by an adult. Bring a flashlight and wear sturdy hiking boots.

Please park in Tyler’s overflow lot and check in with the staff associate at the Horticulture Building, where the group will gather.
