The Great Caterpillar Caper

This event is no longer on sale.

Saturday September 17

10:00 AM  –  11:00 AM

FOR CHILDREN AGES 3-10 (with one free accompanying adult)

The journey from caterpillar to butterfly is full of adventure! For young people ages 3 to 10, this outdoor activity will take each participant from a newly hatched caterpillar to becoming one of our beautiful native butterflies. As the caterpillar, participants will learn what plants are good to eat and what to avoid. Each will learn firsthand how to outsmart hungry birds and even other insects. Fun for everyone who wants to experience science in person. Each participant will take home a handmade headband that depicts a specific butterfly.

Upon arrival, please check in first at the Visitor Center, where you can then meet your guide.
