FOR ADULTS AND YOUTH AGES 12-17

Experience the bioluminescent wonder of fireflies on this after-hours hike!

As dusk settles over the Arboretum, we’ll head into the forest to explore fields, meadows, and forest edges—prime habitats for observing fireflies at this time of year. Along the way, our guide will highlight seasonal features and points of natural interest. In addition to fireflies, we may encounter some of the nocturnal wildlife that call Tyler home.

This leisurely-paced hike is for adults and youth who are comfortable walking on uneven ground, which may include short stretches of steep trail. An adult must accompany all youth. Please wear sturdy shoes with good tread and bring a flashlight.

Important Information: This program takes place after Tyler’s regular hours. The front gate will open at 7:45 pm and will close promptly 10 minutes after the start time—please plan to arrive on time. After parking, check in with the staff associate at the Visitor Center Patio, where the group will gather.

PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED. Registration closes at 5:30 pm the day of the program, so register early!

A registered adult must accompany all youth.

MEMBERS (Sign in for your member discount!): $17 per adult; $12 per youth ages 12-17

NON-MEMBERS: $20 per adult; $15 per youth ages 12-17

GUEST PASS HOLDERS (for non-members only): $17 per adult; $12 per youth ages 12-17. Guest pass holders must submit a guest pass at check-in or be accompanied by a Tyler Family level or higher member. Each guest must provide separate guest passes.
