CANCELLED What Lives in the Pond?

This event is no longer on sale.

Sunday August 14

11:00 AM  –  12:00 PM

FOR FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN AGES 6-11

As you stand on the deck of Tyler’s pond and take a look around, you are likely to see frogs, turtles and maybe even fish, along with the tiny aquatic plant called duckweed. There might be turtles and other wildlife alongside them, such as water striders or spiders on the water, patiently waiting for a meal. Red-winged blackbirds and herons favor this environment, as do dragonflies and damselflies. Join Tyler volunteer Sue Fredrick as she helps you look at your water samples with your very own magnifying glass. She will lead you on a leisurely-paced tour as we learn about many animals and plants that thrive in and near the water. Pre-registration required.

Please check-in first at the Visitor Center, where you'll then meet your guide.
