Learn to navigate Tyler’s trail system. Walk along easy trails on this leisurely hike that’s perfect for the whole family, giving you plenty of time to pause, observe, and ask questions. Even in winter, the woods are full of surprises, leaving plenty to see, hear, and talk about as you explore.
What to expect:
• Leisurely-paced 1-2 mile trail hike
• Learn how to navigate Tyler’s trail system
• Seasonal observations and nature discovery
• Changes in grade and walking surfaces, including pavement, grass, gravel, and rocky trails
What to wear & carry:
• Dress in layers for the weather
• Hiking boots or sturdy shoes with good tread
• Water and a snack
• Strollers are not suitable on our trails. We recommend a carrier if you plan to bring an infant or young child.
About your guide: Dave is a long-time Tyler volunteer and naturalist. He is a founding member of our docent program and a certified PA Master Naturalist.
PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED. Check in at the Visitor Center, where you'll meet your guide.
Members (sign in for your discount!): FREE. A registered adult must accompany all children.
Non-Members: $18 per adult ages 18-64: $15 per senior adult ages 65+; $10 per child ages 3-17; no charge for children ages two and under. The fee includes admission, so feel free to spend the day at Tyler! A registered adult must accompany all children.
Guest Pass Registrants (for non-members only): FREE. Please give your guest passes to the Visitor Center associate at check-in, or inform the associate that you are accompanying a participating Family or a higher-level member. A registered adult must accompany all children.
